Family Membership

  • Families that create together thrive together! Join the Asylum as a family and experience the joys of making as a group. Anyone under 18 must adhere to our Youth Policy.

    Includes access to all shops upon successful completion of New Member Orientation & Tool Testing.

  • Family Memberships, priced at $300/month, provide three specific family members with 24/7 access to our shops. Additional family memberships available at $100 per person for up to 8 family members in total.

  • Before supporting your minor at Artisans, please carefully review our Youth Policy. All individuals under the age of 18 must adhere to this policy at all times.

    Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to purchase their own individual membership. Individuals between the ages of 12-18 are permitted to use the facilities as long as they are part of a Family Membership and under the supervision of a responsible adult. Individuals under the age of 12 are not permitted to have a membership of any capacity at Artisan’s Asylum, Inc. and are only permitted into the space if they are 1) a guest of a Member and adhere to the Guest Policy and Youth Policy or 2) are participating in Family Workshops, Events or Classes under the supervision of a responsible adult.

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision.

    Lasers

    No one under 16; minors must always be accompanied by an adult who has been tested. Additionally, those under 18 must be tested at Artisans.

    Composite Shop

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision.

    Laser in Composite Shop

    No one under 16; minors must always be accompanied by an adult who has been tested. Additionally, those under 18 must be tested at Artisans.

    Electronics & Robotics Shop

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision. 16 and up can work unsupervised if they have been both trained and tested at Artisans.

    Jewelry Shop

    16 and up. No one under 18 may use the shop without the supervision of a tested member. Minors must take Jewelry 101 or equivalent class at Artisans Asylum and successfully pass tool testing.

    Fiber Arts Shop

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision.

    Screen Printing Shop

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision.

    Digital Design & Photography Shop

    Photography

    15 and up; must be both trained and tested at Artisans. Under 15 require tested adult supervision.

    Digital Design & Computer Access

    12 and up.

    Casting Shop

    Not available to minors.

    Bike Shop/SCUL

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision.

    Wood Shop

    No one under 16; must always be accompanied by a tested adult.

    ShopBot

    No one under 16; must be accompanied by a tested adult. Minors must be both trained and tested at Artisans.

    Metal Shop

    No one under 16. Minors must be accompanied by a tested adult. Minors must be both trained and tested at Artisans.

    CNC Plasma Cutter

    No one under 16; must be accompanied by a tested adult. Minors must be both trained and tested at Artisans.

    Finishing Shop

    12 and up, with tested adult supervision.

    Machine Shop

    No one under 16. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a tested adult. Minors must be both trained and tested at Artisans.

Onboarding Instructions

  • Please choose your contract start date to align with the next Member Orientation that you can attend. You will be charged within 24 hours of signing up for a plan. Please keep this in mind when signing up for a plan.

  • One representative of the Family Membership must email member-services@artisansasylum.com with the names and emails of those who will be included under this membership.

  • Each individual within this membership must complete the Member Orientation.

  • Each individual will not gain access to our facilities until after they have completed the Member Orientation. You must be signed up for the Member Orientation you are attending to receive your key fob. Otherwise, we will not know to create a key fob for you…Please help us help you!

  • Includes access to all shops upon successful completion of Tool Testing.

  • This membership includes access to all shops upon successful completion of Tool Testing. Tool Testing is for Members & Day Pass Users Only. If you would like to be tool tested before becoming a Member or a Day Pass user, there are some classes offered that include a Tool Test for nonmembers. Please be sure to read class descriptions carefully to ensure the class you are taking includes a tool test as part of the curriculum.
